And as they continue to grow, these pictures help me remember where we started and make me look forward to all that’s on the horizon.

Don’t get me wrong, I ADORE the images I have of my own family with the Washington, DC monuments in the background. Some of our best family memories were made here: first kisses in college, first looks on our wedding day, first visit to the Cherry Blossoms. Having lived in this amazing city for over a decade, the District’s city space is the backdrop of so many sweet memories. But I’ve found that these illustrious scenes help me to remember a moment in time, rather than a season. In the hustle and bustle of a family outing, it can be easy to get swept up in the “newness” and everything around you.

I want our session to offer you the chance to really turn inward and just be with your family. Rarely do we have the opportunity to slow down and appreciate what’s right in front of us.
